My White Christmas Themed Master Bedroom

Today, I d like to continue my home tour for Christmas . Each room has its own theme. Let’s head to the master where it’s decor is, “White Christmas.” It’s one of my husband and I’s favorite holiday movies. I went with a vintage vibe in this room in honor of the time the movie was made.

This shelf with a scene of carolers flanked by twinkling trees, is over our tv on the opposite side of the bed. In the middle, is sheet music to “White Christmas.” My Aunt Donna gave us many of these carolers. I have them in groups in several places in our home. Another set is on the shelf below the tv and they are pictured below:

She gave us many little caroling doggies, too. This group looks like they have just gotten back from getting Christmas gifts and goodies. They are in a jolly mood. This last set isn’t in our bedroom, but just outside.

They are trimming the tree. I will always remember when my Aunt gave me these. She got the tree, the man with the star, the lady with the box of ornaments and the dog with the string of popcorn all at once. She always kept track of which pieces she gave us each year.

This picture collage flanks one side of tv. I love this old movie poster. The words, “Merry & Bright” are part of the lyrics of the song. Below these is this seating area:

This chair and ottoman was my Aunt Mabel’s. I have many memories of sitting in it growing up. It use to be a mustard yellow, but my mom had it reupholstered in a rosy pink. I hope to, one day, make it blue.

This flanks the other side of the tv. I just love this shadow box. It holds some photos of us when we were kids. The prints are ones I collect each year of the Hotel Del Coronado. It’s a favorite spot for my husband and I to go.

Our bedroom is one of the rooms we are still working on as far as decor goes. I do adore our bed. We purchased the frame years ago from Crate & Barrel. We want to get new window treatments amongst other things, but I still like to make it festive in here. The sign on the footboard is from Pottery Barn Kids several years ago. The stockings my Aunt Mabel needlepointed. The White Christmas pillow was from an Etsy shop called Porter Lane Home.

This Dickens’ Christmas Carol book was my Aunt Mabel’s, too. She received it from one of her brother’s as a Christmas gift ( I still have the tag!) The book has to have been made sometimes in the 1910s. The other book is a collection of short stories that have a Christmas theme written by Louisa May Alcott. If you’re a Little Women fan, I highly recommend this book.

The last area of this room is this shelving unit. These shelves normally hold light boxes I’ve collected from Disneyland. This time of year, they showcase my vintage miniatures. Right in the center is the most sentimental piece, the impish elves that spell, “NOEL.” My grandma Dorothy (my dad’s mom) had these in her home. She gifted them to my parents on their first Christmas married. A few years ago, my mom passed them on to me.

I just love it all so very much. Here is a close up of the elves:

Besides the elves, one shelf holds photos from various Christmases we’ve had. Another shelf, has miniature villages with ice skating figures in the middle (those were made by a favorite crafter of mine. She makes little felt outfits and tiny knit hats for each figure. I have several of her pieces and love their whimsy.)

This village in front of the shelves is adorable. I love the set of dogs in front of it. They are all wearing Christmas themed outfits. Here is a close up of one doggie in a Santa one:

I hope you enjoyed these peeks into our White Christmas bedroom.

May All Your Christmases Be White…at least in your dreams
